Forever In Dreams under cloud following Sprint Cup
Trainer Aidan Fogarty reports his celebrity filly Forever In hindsight to have scoped following her campaign from the Sprint Cup at Haydock.
After winning a Listed decoration in the Merseyside place in May, the daughter of Fantasy Ahead was snapped up by the Phoenix Ladies Syndicate ahead of her conduct from the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot – and did her new owners pleased with a huge effort to complete next to Martyn Meade’s Advertise.
She made her first competitive appearance since but ended a disappointing 10th of 11 runners supporting the Hello Youmzain, who was one place behind Forever In hindsight at the Royal meeting of Kevin Ryan.
“She scoped poorly when she arrived home, so at least we’ve got a reason,” said Fogarty.
“The first thing Billy (Lee) stated after the race was that she felt a bit flat, which will be unlike her, even as she usually travels well.
“She played a bit in the parade until the racewhich she does not usually do, so perhaps she knew more than we ever did.
“She was fine right after the race, however when we scoped her at home on Sunday that it wasn’t right, so she’s on the simple list.
“We will see just how she is, but she is at the Foret at France and she can run there when we’re happy with her.”
