Doug Polk Wins $271k On Stream

One of the most popular poker streamers, Doug Polk managed to win $271,000 while broadcasting! The player was live on YouTube when he shipped the PartyPoker’s Powerfest High Roller Event. The buy-in for the tournament was $5,200 and Polk’s viewers were able to enjoy the whole event live. Surprisingly, this is not even the biggest prize Doug has achieved in front of viewers, as he won $455,000 on stream last September.
A Good Luck Omen?
It’s interesting to note that Polk was having a rough time during the recent SCOOP series and didn’t manage to make significant cashes. Right after that, he decided to move most of his live streams from Twitch to YouTube and this big win followed. A superstitious person could easily see a good luck omen here.
A Long Battle
As you could expect from such a deep tournament, the stream went on for some long hours. However, Doug Polk is known for his sense of humor and the deeper he got in the tournament, the bigger the excitement of the crowd was.
It reached its peak levels when Polk entered the heads up phase of the tournament. His opponent “Pokerg1ril6” managed to come back from the dead more than once. However, the famous streamer managed to wrap it up when his ATs caught the A7o of the other player. The board brought no help for ““Pokerg1ril6” and Polk was the happy winner.
Let’s wish him luck for the future, as he is certainly one of the good guys in poker. Furthermore, such huge wins on live streams will bring more and more players to the poker scene.
