PokerStars Launches New Rewards Program

Today, PokerStars have announced on its blog that the new Stars Rewards program will be launched in the summer. According to the operator, it will reward all of their players for their activity in all of the PokerStars products. This includes poker, sports betting and casino.
Personalized Approach
PokerStars insists that the main difference will be that the rewards for each player will be personalized. The main idea is to play your favorite games and collect/open Chests with prizes. They will be created by taking into account the games you play the most. The specific rewards will vary, but there will be a chance to get something huge, according to Stars.
Main Features
The blog post includes an overview that gives some details about the new rewards. Each chest will have a randomized value that depends on the volume you played. The bigger it is, the bigger the prizes. There will be a chance to hit something really big like $1,000 instant cash, 1,000,000 StarsCoins or even packages for some of the biggest PokerStars events. If you’re using the bookmaker section the most often, there could be a large free bet available. Also, the prizes will be changing regularly.
Here are some of the possibilities:
- StarsCoin pack
- Free wager for sports betting
- Tournament tickets for poker
- Casino bonuses
Depending on your main activity, the prizes will be personalized. For example, a poker player will mostly receive tickets for tournaments while sports bettors will get the free bets more often.
PokerStars also revealed that consistency will be rewarded handsomely. If you play in consecutive days or cover other conditions, you will get boosts for each prize.
Our Two Cents
The new rewards program will be implemented in Denmark and Italy first, before going live everywhere in the summer. It looks like it’s focused more towards recreational players which can be a good or a bad thing. It means more fish at the tables, but worse rewards for regulars. It remains to be seen what the long-term effect of the program would look like.
