Kevin Martin Wins The Big Brother Canada
The PokerStars pro team member and beloved streamer Kevin Martin managed to dazzle everyone and become the first ever unanimous winner in the Big Brother Canada history. This was his second attempt after finishing third last time around. He will now enjoy a prize of $100,000.
Strategy or luck helped him win in his second appearing in the show?
Just like in the game of poker, winning is always a combination of the two. Kevin stated:
“This time, I don’t care about TV time. I don’t care about being the charismatic guy. All I wanna do is play a good Big Brother game,” Martin said in the video before entering the house.”
And it turns out this was all he needed to do in order to become the big winner. He also shares that he approached the game in a much more professional way. His experience as a professional poker player helped him develop a strategy that eventually led him to the top.
This is hardly a shocker as Kevin has proven to be an intelligent poker player. Everyone that watched his streams knows that. Congratulations to him and we’re happy since he’s a truly likable guy.
From Rags To Riches
The Twitch star appeared in the game for the first time in Season 3. He was considered a strong contender with a solid chance to win but a triple eviction cost him his place. Kevin’s elimination back then was a shock to him since he was the head of the household at the time. On top of that, he was the first player to get evicted without receiving any eviction votes against him.
That experience helped him grow and after the final questioning in Season 5, where the two remaining contenders had to answer questions about why should they win, he was unanimously chosen by the 9-person jury. Good job, Kevin!
