On the rail – WSOPE €111,111 One Drop High Roller already half full
The World Series of Poker has expanded their brand across the world in the latest year, and the newest instalment in Europe is the stop at King`s Casino in Rozvadov right on the German/Czech boarder.
New for this year is that there will also be a €111,111 One Drop High Roller at the popular casino.
The event is capped at a fitting 111 players, and already over 50 players have placed their €11,000 deposit to reserve their seat in the prestigious tournament that also raises a lot of money for charity.
This is an astonishing feat when the actual event is more than six months away starting November 3rd. When casino owner Leon Tsoukernik saw the fantastic numbers, he was quick to put on a massive €10,000,000 guarantee on the flag ship event.
One Drop founder and also founder of Cirque du Solei; Guy Laliberte is super excited about the new stop.
“Now, the poker world is ‘all in’ for One Drop! I’ve heard so much about Leon and King’s Casino and look forward to checking it out in person,” he said. “I will be going for the WSOP Circuit and then on to WSOP Europe and naturally I will be playing both the High Roller and the Little One for such a brilliant cause and the bracelets up for grabs.”
Since the founding in 2012 One Drop has raised over $18,500,000 to fund water projects worldwide, and they expect to pass $20,000,000 in raised funds this year. Already the initiative has helped nearly 200,000 people to a cleaner source of water in India, Western Africa and Latin America.
